In an attempt to broaden my web scraping capabilities, I decided to try and compile a list of all of the Carnegie Libraries in the U.S. which are currently spread across many different wikipedia pages. Took a little work, but I was able to extract a file containing 1593 libraries out of the total 1,689 built in the United States. Mostly this is because Philadelphia caused some coding problems and I didn't include Washington D.C. either. Below is a csv file with all of the compiled libraries. By their name, date they were granted and grant amount. I then decided to do some basic analysis and visualization of the libraries.
